Donovan Park located directly in The Heights is perfect for place to spend time on sunny Saturday afternoon. The park is huge and there’s plenty of space to run, play, have a picnic, or whatever you’re little ones want to do! There’s also a large playground to keep the kids entertained for hours. “Donovan Park is the Cinderella story of a formerly underutilized park transformed into a unique fantasy play-space through the power of community involvement. Over a period of nine months, thousands of dedicated volunteers and supporters participated in the fundraising, organization, and building of a dream that became a reality,” according to Houston Heights Park Association.
The Painting with a Twist Heights studio location not only has adult paint and sip classes, we also host all ages-kid friendly art classes. PWAT provides all the supplies and clean up, and you can even bring the kids their own drinks and snacks to enjoy while painting, Some of the upcoming all ages classes include “Flower Crown Deer” on Jan. 13 and “Adorned Lllama” on Jan. 20. Urban Movement is the perfect place to take your kid if they like climbing and running around. This place is literally designed for it, and it pretty much a parkour playground. You can join a drop in class or sign up for their kids camp open to children ages 7 – 17.
