Tis the season to spend time with people you love. November all the way up to New Year’s Eve is when many of us spend a lot of time with our families, especially during that one week off of work and school during the week of Thanksgiving.
Most kids and college students get the week prior up to the week of Thanksgiving off of school, and if you’re lucky some grown ups get time off work too. But what can you do fill up that time off? Yes you could go to the movies, or sit around at home all day but that’s not very fun. The whole purpose of the break is to surround yourself with people and experiences that you’re grateful for.
Here are some fun things happening in Houston that you can bring the whole family to participate in this Thanksgiving season!

The Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade began in 1949, when Santa arrived at Union Station and rode his sleigh to the downtown Foley’s. Join us again this year as we embrace the holiday spirit on Thursday, November 22, 2018 with the 69th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Houston Turkey Trot is a Baker Ripley event held annually to challenge and encourage us to get up, get out, give back, and give thanks on a day devoted to family and togetherness.
